The Avon Valley Railway is a great location for both still photography and feature film shoots and we’re easily accessible from Bristol, Bath and the M4 from London (via Junction 18). We have a period Victorian station (dating from 1869) together with associated platforms, workshops and railway ephemera. We can provide static or moving steam or diesel locomotives with our maroon 1950s LMS / BR Mark 1 heritage carriages completing the scene. The line is approximately 3 miles in length running from suburban Oldland Common down to picturesque Avon Riverside, right by the banks of the river Avon.
We can provide rest facilities for your cast and crew including our station buffet which is open daily for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. We have toilet facilities in a number of locations on site and a large surfaced car park.
