At the Avon Valley Railway we believe everyone should have an enjoyable visit, and feel comfortable and safe whilst doing so. If you are a wheelchair user, have any problem which makes getting around difficult, or perhaps you’re a carer for someone else, we’d be happy to help you plan your day. Just give us a call and we’ll do our best to help.
Our specially-modified guard’s brake-van carriage has been fitted out with a spacious area for wheelchairs, comfortable seating for carers or friends, and ramps to make boarding simple. Our platforms have ramps – to street level, as well as the usual ones you find at the end of most railway platforms. We also have disabled toilet facilities available in our Buffet.
