Join us onboard our first class dining train for a unique dining experience. You’ll embark at Bitton Station before the whistle sounds and the train gently pulls away. In the kitchen car our chef will be busily preparing your meal with the finest local ingredients while you relax and watch the rolling Avon Valley countryside roll by. During your meal our onboard bar will be open and our attentive staff will be happy to help. Experience something special for a couple of hours as you experience the unique sounds, smells and taste of a bygone age.

FESTIVE BITTON BELLE
Step on board our festive decorated heritage First-Class carriages whilst travelling through the picturesque Avon Valley.
Pull a cracker, tell a joke and wear a party hat before you tuck in!
With comfortable seats and crisp white linen, it’s a perfect way to warm up for Christmas with family and friends while enjoying a traditional Christmas lunch or evening meal.
Expect a two-course traditional festive meal, followed by tea/coffee and after dinner chocolate – all served at your seat. A full bar service is available.
Seats are in open carriages around tables of two or four people.
When you arrive at the station, please collect your boarding card from the station booking office. The train will be ready to board 15 minutes prior to departure, with two round trips of our line, with a journey time of approximately 2 hours.

FESTIVE AFTERNOON TEA
Our popular Festive Afternoon Tea experience is returning for one day only this year, so join us onboard our first-class dining carriage to enjoy a luxurious festive afternoon tea whilst you travel the line.
Tuck into a selection of dainty festive cakes, finger sandwiches, and warm scones with cream and jam – all accompanied with a glass of fizz on arrival and a hot drink of your choosing.
You can enjoy your festive spread from the comfort of our dazzlingly-decorated carriage, with almost two hours of travelling time to sit back and take in your journey through the Avon Valley.
Seats are in open carriages around tables of two or four people, and our onboard bar will be open for additional drinks.

Book Festive Afternoon Tea 2025
FESTIVE CREAM TEA
Join us onboard one of our vintage, steam-hauled carriages for a festive cream tea this Christmas. Enjoy a hot drink of tea or coffee to accompany your warm scone with jam & cream, as well as tucking into a seasonal slice of stollen.
Take your seats in our decked-out carriage and sit back for a 50-minute trip of the line whilst you enjoy your festive cream tea.
Seats are in open carriages around tables for four.
When you arrive at the station, please collect your boarding card from the station booking office. The train will be ready to board at 15:15 and departs at 15:30 before returning to Bitton at approximately 16:25.
Unfortunately, due to the historic nature of the carriage used for our Festive Cream Tea, we are unable to accommodate passengers in wheelchairs.

Gift vouchers are available for all of our Dining Trains, by calling the booking office on 0117 9325538.
On all services the on-board bar will be open serving a selection of wines, beers and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to your table.
For your comfort and safety smoking is not permitted on the train. Parents are asked that for the benefit of the serving staff and other guests, that children should remain seated at all times during the meal.
Avon Valley Railway is currently working on the 2026 programme to include family events and on-board catering options – dates will be publicised in due course.
