The Avon Valley Railway offers a range of special events throughout the year for both families and enthusiasts. These include our popular Teddy Bears’ Picnics, the annual Beer Festival, Farmyard Friends weekend, and Steam Galas.

Our Sunday lunch dining trains give you the chance to experience the glory days of the railway dining car. Join us for our Bitton Belle Sunday lunch dining trains on selected dates throughout the year. We also offer a variety of dining experiences onboard our trains, ranging from fish & chip trains, to first-class afternoon teas, as well as dramatic murder mystery evenings.

For enthusiasts, why not realise your dream of getting up on the footplate of one of our steam locomotives, or in the cab of the diesel engine, with one of our footplate ride experiences. These give you the opportunity to go behind the scenes with our footplate crew for a round trip of the line, and experience the excitement of the locomotive footplate up close and personally.
