Settle into the elegance of a beautifully restored heritage carriage, with polished wooden panelling interior, crisp white linen tablecloths and comfortable seating – all of which create the perfect setting for a truly special experience.

You’ll embark at Bitton Station (BS30 6HD) before the whistle sounds and the train gently pulls away.

In the kitchen car, our volunteer catering team will be busily preparing refreshments with the finest ingredients from the region, while you relax and watch the Avon Valley countryside roll by. During your experience, the onboard bar will be open, and attentive staff will be happy to help.

Fish ‘n’ Chips Fryer

Take your seat in our first-class dining carriage to enjoy a British classic of hearty fish, chips and mushy peas from our local chippy, served onboard one of our heritage trains. Combining a family favourite with a delightful trip down our railway line, this dining experience offers a lunch time that you won’t forget in a hurry. You will also enjoy a delicious desert to finish off your meal and our onboard bar will be open for additional drinks.

When you arrive at the station, please collect your boarding card from the station booking office. The train will be ready to board at 1230 and departs at 1245 before returning to Bitton at approximately 1430.

Festive Cream Tea

Tuesday 8th & Wendesday 9th December, 15:15

Fancy something a bit lighter, but still packed with festive fun?

Join us onboard one of our vintage, steam-hauled carriages for a festive cream tea this Christmas. Enjoy a hot drink of tea or coffee to accompany your warm scone with jam & cream while you enjoy your ride.

Take your seats in our decked-out carriage and sit back for a 50-minute trip of the line whilst you enjoy your festive cream tea.

When you arrive at the station, please collect your boarding card from the station booking office. The train will be ready to board at 1515 and departs at 1530 before returning to Bitton at approximately 1625.

Festive Bitton Belle

Tuesday 8th December, 12:30

Join us onboard our first-class dining carriage to enjoy a warming Christmas dinner whilst you travel the line.

Tuck into your main course of a traditional Christmas dinner, complete with all the trimmings, followed by a festive dessert.

You will enjoy your festive feast from the comfort of our dazzlingly-decorated carriage, with almost two hours of travelling time to sit back and take in your journey through the Avon Valley. Pull a cracker and share a joke with friends, then sit back and enjoy the ride.

When you arrive at the station, please collect your boarding card from the station booking office. The train will be ready to board at 12:30, with a 12:45 departure. After two round trips of the line, the train is expected to return to Bitton at 14:35.

Terms & Conditions

• For your comfort and safety, smoking and vaping is not permitted on the train. Parents are asked that for the benefit of the serving staff and other guests, that children should remain seated at all times during the meal.
• Prices are subject to change.
• Breakfast Train and Cream Tea guests are served over one round trip of the line. Two round trips are provided for those enjoying Bitton Belle Sunday Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Pie & Pint, Fish n Chips Fryer, Pines Express and Murder Mystery experiences.
• When making a booking, ticket prices include the equivalent travelling fare – the remainder of the ticket price includes the appropriate amount of VAT.
• Our line is approximately 3 miles long. The total duration of a round trip is approximately 50 minutes (approx. 6 miles).
  The total travelling (moving) time is approx. 24 minutes with 13 minutes at the stations at either end of the line for the locomotive to change ends, and a brief 5-minute stop at Bitton in the middle of the journey.
• There are occasions where it is necessary to operate trains with an alternative locomotive to the one or type advertised. All trains operated are subject to change in this way, without prior notice due to safety, weather, mechanical failure or loco availability. Tickets remain valid during changes, and substitutions do not qualify for refunds or exchanges.
