If you go down to the railway today, you’re in for a big surprise…
The teddy bears are coming to Bitton on the 27th & 28th June for the return of our popular Teddy Bears’ Picnic weekend! Join us for a steam train ride up and down the line, plus a whole host of activities back at the station.
Expect balloon modelling, face-painting, magic shows, and more, in a day that offers non-stop entertainment for kids…
This family-friendly weekend offers the chance for families to enjoy a fun-filled day out together. Enjoy a 50 minute journey along our line on a real steam train, with a stop at either end of the line to see the engine change ends as the crew uncouple and couple up the loco. At the end of your journey back at Bitton Station, you can expect to be greeted by balloon modelers and face painters, as well as catching one of the day’s magic shows on the station lawn. Plus, head to our station buffet to purchase refreshments, including a kids lunch box for the little ones, or choose from a wide range of hot and cold refreshments. Our station gift shop will also be open, offering the chance to choose a souvenir to remember your visit.
Best of all, all children who bring their teddy bear will travel FREE, so what are you waiting for?!
Ticket Information
When selecting your first seat all the remaining seats become highlighted around your table/compartment. Choose the different tickets types you need from the drop down lists. For any seats not required simply choose ‘Empty Seat’. A minimum of 5 paid for tickets must be booked in a compartment.
Wheelchair Users those with Access needs and smaller parties with SEND children who would benefit from a private compartment should contact the railway Booking Office on 0117 932 5538 to purchase tickets.
