Bitton Glow Ride

Thursday 22nd October – starting at 18:30

Our friends from Bitton and Oldland Cycling Club will be hosting a ‘Glow Ride’ on Thursday 22nd October, starting at Bitton Station.

The Glow Ride is a 7km cycle ride in solidarity with female cyclists, with the goal of raising awareness of the barriers to safe cycling that women face and to show allyship through reclaiming the night.

“For too many women, the ‘freedom of the road’ ends at sunset. We’re changing that. Join Bitton and Oldland Cycling Club (affiliated with Cycling UK) for a night of joyful defiance. We are reclaiming the Bristol & Bath Railway Path,  using our collective light to demand safer, better-connected infrastructure for every rider.”

Attendees are encouraged to turn up with colourful lights and high-vis; the aim is to be safe and to be seen!
