Data Protection
To process our online bookings we use a third-party ticketing provider called QuayTickets which is the trading name of The Lowry Centre in Salford. QuayTickets manages online ticket bookings for a wide variety of venues around the UK including a number of other heritage railways. Any profits made are re-invested to support charitable activities of The Lowry.
Under the new GDPR Data Protection regulations we wanted to inform you that QuayTickets and the Avon Valley Railway will acquire and process your data for the purposes of managing your booking(s) with the Avon Valley Railway. When you buy tickets you will leave the Avon Valley Railway’s website and be taken to QuayTickets’ homepage although visually it will look the same.
Data will be retained for a period of three years from the date of booking and then deleted from the system. You are welcome to contact us at any time before then should you wish your data to be deleted.
