We are pleased to announce that our heritage trains are back!
In September we will be running our heritage diesel service on Saturdays and steam on Sundays.
Tickets need to be booked in advance and can be purchased using the link below. This will enable us to manage capacity and social distancing whilst you’re onboard.
New rules come into force on Monday 14 September preventing groups of six or more people meeting unless in their household support bubble. Please respect this new rule when booking tickets for our trains. We will ask for confirmation that all groups of six or more are a single bubble.
To keep our customers safe, each family group will be seated in separate compartments. In addition, you’ll see some physical changes next time you visit, from protective screens in our buffet through to hand sanitiser available at various points across the site and enhanced cleaning regimes onboard our trains.
We thank you for your patience at this time if things take a little longer than normal. We’re all getting used to what’s being called the ‘new normal’ and that includes the railway’s staff and volunteers. However, most importantly we want you to have an enjoyable visit but feel safe too.
As a small charity it’s been a difficult few months for us and many other heritage attractions. Please come and support us to ‘Save our Steam’. If you’ve not already donated, but feel able to support us financially at this time, we’ve also been running a Virgin Money Giving fundraising page;
In these difficult times there are many ways you can help – please consider joining us, or following and sharing our social media accounts (links at bottom of this page) or signing-up to our monthly newsletter (enter your email address below) to stay in touch.
We look forward to welcoming you back very soon!
