  • 150 Anniversary Celebration

Join us over the weekend of 3 & 4 August as we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the opening of the line.

Find out more about the line in our ‘history marquee’, see a selection of vintage vehicles, shire horses and Morris dancers (Saturday only). Wander round our trade stands and see displays from local museums about the history of the local area.

Take a vintage bus shuttle ride to Warmley signal box.

Fry’s Sentinel locomotive will be offering Brake Van rides at Avon Riverside during this weekend.

As part of our 150th Anniversary Celebration weekend we will also be welcoming three very appropriate model railway layouts to Bitton.

We are delighted to announce that Bath Green Park (courtesy of Taunton Model Railway Group), Mangotsfield (courtesy of David Bradley), and St Philips (courtesy of Thornbury and South Glos MRC) will be attending our anniversary weekend! We think this may be the first time all three layouts will be all together in the same place, so don’t miss this opportunity to see these three brilliant layouts over the weekend!
