The tamper, on hire from Railway Support Services, will be at the Avon Valley Railway for the remainder of this week.
During this time it is planned to tamp the complete line from Avon Riverside to Oldland Common, providing a better alignment of the track and an improved ride for our passengers and the engine crew.
